We’re always striving to make EMPOWER easier, more efficient and as effective as possible for our clients. This year, the program has undergone several important upgrades and changes, each one offering its own enrichment to the system.
Web Portal
To make the EMPOWER Web Portal even more intuitive for end users, the entire Portal has gone through an extensive redesign bringing it up to current Web standards. Users will be greeted with an updated look and feel, with new graphical and design elements implemented through the use of style sheets that control colors, fonts and layouts. To ensure a more personal experience, each school will receive an institution-specific template that includes its school colors, logos and other graphics.
The Portal now has category-specific launch pages for students, faculty and advisors. The launch page, which is the first page a user sees when logging into the Portal, can be customized with necessary elements for each group — such as student schedules, faculty office hours, etc. Each element can be easily dragged and dropped by individual users to create an even more personally customized launch page that meets their needs. Administrators can enable or disable different elements on a group by group basis to ensure that the elements their users need are available to them. The updated Portal also handles internal or external RSS feeds for school and national news.
