We’re always striving to make EMPOWER easier, more efficient and as effective as possible for our clients. The program has undergone several important upgrades and changes, two of which are team teaching and wait listing; each one offering its own enrichment to the system.
Team Teaching
Users can now create teaching teams in EMPOWER with the ability to assign a team to a class section, assign instructors to a team and assign a load ration to each team instructor. With proper permissions, team instructors can use EMPOWER to:
- Take attendance
- Assign grades
- Grant permission for enrollment
- Use the Web Portal to view their class roster
- Provide narrative evaluations
Wait Listing
EMPOWER users are now able to manage their wait list process. Users can move students between lists and roll lists forward in time to new terms or sections. They can drop all or selected students from a wait list, or they can register all or selected students to a course or section. In addition, email notifications to wait-listed students can be sent, letting them know which actions were taken.
